Lee Hoffman

About Lee Hoffman
Lee Hoffman, born July 13, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a multifaceted artist and scholar whose extensive education included private tutoring, academic and art schools, and studies at the Mundaline Jesuit Seminar and The Barnes Foundation, where he focused on Western European art traditions, West African sculpture, and American Jazz. His artistic journey led him to Paris, where he studied in major museums and collaborated with CoBrA artists at Atelier Clot, consistently returning to his artistic endeavors despite employment in finance. Throughout his life, he created lithographs, woodcuts, and ceramics in various countries, established a graphic press and a ceramic studio, and received commissions for large-scale works, ultimately combining his interests in art and finance until his passing on July 8, 2014, leaving a legacy as a talented artist, scholar, and “Renaissance man.”
